Step 1:
Place scrap template with bevel cut on end of piece and match planes and trace line.
Step 2:
Simply attach the one-man-helper to your ridge board on the noted line on the end hip.
Step 3:
Unwind the cord until the tool reaches the top plate and note degree.
Step 4:
Match the degree noted in Step 2. You now have the length of your rafter and the angle for the seat and tail cuts. Mark One Man Helper.

Step 5:
Extend L-bar to predetermined seat cut depth to match height above plate. Trace and note degree on hill cut and transfer to the top plum cut where the One Man Helper was marked.
Step 6:
Make the cut!
