RafterPro was developed and patented by Randy Graham. In 1996, as he attempted to put an addition on his home, found that conventional ways of laying out rafters were near impossible for the average person. He felt that there had to be an easier way. The method of laying out rafters has changed little since the 1930's. About 4 patents later, the evolution of his idea took place and the development of the RafterPro became a reality. In 2003, with the assistance of Donald Moore, the company Rapid Innovations Inc, was created to design, manufacture, and distribute the RafterPro.

This team grew to 7 members who were immediately faced with multiple challenges. One challenge was to design a high quality and durable product suitable for both the professional builder along with the do-it-yourselfer. The goal was to provide the customer with a product of both excellent quality and a superior value. The team was able to accomplish this goal in 5 short months and took much pride in knowing that the RafterPro is 100% made in the USA.
